How long does the towels last as compared to normal towels?

GIBIE Towels are as durable as any other towel.

How about the colour fastening of herbal dyed products?

Ayurvedic Herbal dyes are extracted from medicinal herbs. They are never as fast as chemical based dyes but they do last for more than 50 washes at least and they will not bleed. We have done recommended wash tests and the results were well under standard fastening limits. We always recommend to wash towels separately and not to use citric washing powder/liquids. It is highly recommended to wash any of our Gibie products before first use.

Are the processes of developing bamboo fibres chemical free? Why do you claim these towels as eco-friendly?
Regenerated cellulose fibres manufactured from bamboo ensures the principles of sustainability whereby valuable by-products are recycled which guarantees its eco-friendliness. Fibres free from any harmful substances and accredited with Oeko-Tex standard 100 Sustainability is a key aspect that is monitored for all products and raw materials at all stages of the development of our products.
Can I be allergic to dyes used in these towels?

Every herb or salt that we use are 100% natural so there are no allergies or skin reactions.

How long the herbal effect lasts?

Herbal effect lasts as long as the colour of the towel lasts. You can expect at least 50 washes. We will be coming up with dye recharge kit in future where you would be able to self dye the towel in home.

What colours do you do?

We are currently doing herbal 4 colours - Burnt Grey, Rust Creme, Hazel Brown and Sun White. We have developed 4-5 more colours which we will be coming up with in near future.

There are other herbal dyeing processes, how is your process different from them?

We used a patented herbal dyeing process. Herbs we use are known from ancient Indian tradition to have medicinal properties. Our dyeing process have been thoroughly researched for more than 10 years. We have capability for herbal dyeing at industrial scale which was not possible until now. Most of the herbal dyeing processes are done using hand only but we use sophisticated machineries which results in far better quality than other herbal dyeing processes.

Product Care

How should be go about washing a GIBIE towel?
You must always wash your GIBIE towels and other laundry separately. Light load can increase the machine capacity to clean effectively. Other than that, by doing this you can also avoid the buttons or zippers getting stuck on the thread.
How frequently should I wash my GIBIE towel?
In general, you should always wash your towel in cold water every 3-4 days.
What is the best way to dry the GIBIE towel?
Give it a few shakes after removing it from the machine and putting it in a dryer. Tumble dry low. Remember, high heat can end up damaging the fibres and can make your towels feel hard. When it comes to folding, make sure the towels are completely dry beforehand. Storing them wet will result in unwanted smells over time.
Should I use fabric softeners?
Softeners work by coating fibers, this can minimize the towel’s natural ability to absorb. However, instead of using fabric softeners, try using wool dryer balls.
Should I leave my GIBIE towel hanging after it is dried?
Leaving a towel all bunched out on the floor can make them musty. In order to avoid it, hang it up flat after every shower/bath. Hanging your towel helps it dry properly so you can use it more often between washes.
